Twas the week before Christmas and all through the plant...

Posted by Scott Sweeney on Mon, Dec 21, 2009

Twas the week before Christmas and all through plant,

the engineers were a stirring and raving and rant.

They had installed KeyCreator, version 9 with care.

In hopes that their performance would be on a tear!

We booted up Windows 7 clicked on KeyCreator,

Our 100Meg file, would it be the victor?

When all of a sudden we saw in a hurry

Every fillet and arc, every instance no worry!

It's all that they said, and now even more.

Thank you Kubotek Engineers, you've won the war.

So to all in the plant on this Christmas eve week, we say

Design away, design away, design away all!

Merry Chistmas and Happy Holidays to all of you from your friends at KubotekUSA

KeyCreator Version 9 Review

Posted by Scott Sweeney on Mon, Dec 07, 2009

The email came as a surprise.

Someone from Cadalyst Magazine had emailed us and said that they had a very enthusiastic KeyCreator user call them and say that he wanted to review KeyCreator Version 9 for their resurrected Print Edition of Cadalyst Magazine.

The person's name was Josh Stollar from Multi-Cast Corp in Ohio.

We checked around the office and no one knew Josh, so our VP of Sales gave him a call to discuss the review.  He needed a copy of KeyCreator 9 (Beta) to work with for the review.  We gladly supplied it.

We have a very active user forum in our KeyCreator support area and there was a subject about why we don't have a larger share of the CAD market.  The users know the power KeyCreator, and its 3D Direct Modeling capabilities.  They have seen Kubotek as a pioneer in direct modeling and editing they are seeing other companies trying to develop these capabilities in a partial manner, but how can you have a direct modeler on top of a history-based parametric engine?  it just doesn't work.   Even Inventor users know that Fusion still isn't truly fused!  I digress...

Well, enough talk about the article.  Thank you Josh, for being an avid proponent of 3D Direct Modeling CAD as implemented by Kubotek USA in KeyCreator version 9. Here is the review: KeyCreator 9 Review - Josh Stollar - Multi-Cast, Cadalyst Magazine Dec 2009

Thank you for reading,
Scott

Manufacturing is changing in the United States

Posted by Mark Parent on Wed, Dec 02, 2009

We all know that recessions can be devastating to companies and more so to the people, but there are some good things that come out of it as well.

  • Businesses become more creative and efficient
  • People become more creative and efficient
  • New opportunities appear
  • Survival mode kicks in and we make it past the tough times

Manufacturing in the United States has seen plenty of devastating events during this recession, but I see some hope.  There are new companies sprouting up in the manufacturing world that are taking advantage of our strengths.  Much like the wave of micro brewers, we are seeing micro manufacturing companies.  Check out this company (www.local-motors.com), they have the right idea.  Of course, I think they should use our KeyCreator 3D Direct CAD software and other engineering tools, but that's not my point.

I see a great future for manufacturing in this country, but we need to work real hard to get there.  Let's fight our way outside the normal business habits of today and inspire new and better ways of doing things.  Here's a hint, think about humanity and not about profits, and a better world will follow.

Don't forget to come visit us at www.kubotekusa.com and we'll show you some engineering software that will blow you away!
